We hope you and your families are well as we continue to deal with the ongoing pandemic. The GYVA is currently monitoring the ongoing situation and working within the regulations set forward by the province, the OVA and Volleyball Canada. Athlete safety is always our first priority as we plan our eventual return to play. Here is where we currently stand on summer programming.
The University of Guelph has shut down all athletic facilities until August 31st. Due to this we will be unable to offer our regular beach programs however we are currently exploring alternatives and will update everyone when possible.
Our summer camps depend on school use which at the moment are to remain closed until September. This makes our regular indoor camps unavailable. We are looking into potential outdoor alternatives later in the summer that comply with social distancing regulations and restrictions.
Fall Indoor Season
We are currently preparing for the start of the indoor season with the tryout window opening September 19th. Our coaches and staff have been working to prepare our clinics, rep, development and house league programs. Although we can not predict the state of play at the time, we are monitoring current situations and regulations so that we can adapt to what is required of us when the season begins.
We are currently releasing at home training videos and our upcoming coaching roster for the 2020/21 season. Be sure to keep checking in for updates!
